DPDB meetings held at Phek, Kiphire

The Phek DPDB meeting for the month of July was held at ADC’s Office, Pfutsero, Phek on  July 14 under the Chairmanship of Advisor, CAWD & Taxes, Kudecho Khamo.

Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman, DPDB, Rhosietho Ngouri, NCS welcomed the new Members present at the meeting, followed by self introduction on the new members.

Addressing at the meeting, Khamo acknowledged his appreciations towards District Administration of Phek and Pfutsero for organizing the mass social work on July 5 and 12 at Pfutsero, as resolved during the June DPDB meeting to conduct mass social work once in a month. He also suggested and reiterated organising a monthly cleanliness drive in all the villages and town under Phek district.

Khamo also acknowledged his appreciation towards Sano Vamuzo, recipient of Padmashri Award, the highest Indian Civilian Award at the meeting.

MLA, Dr. Neisatuo Mero, thanked the Chairman DPDB, Phek, Kudecho Khamo for giving first privilege for holding first DPDB Phek at Pfutsero. He also requested the District Administration and Town Council of Pfutsero to sensitive the general public not to throw garbages in the drainage.

The meeting reviewed the last meeting minutes and discussed the agendas on Registration of Society in respect of Elpis Society of Phek Town, Kuvetho Society of Kikruma Village. After deliberation, the house agreed to recommend and forwarded to the higher authority for consideration.

Discussing on the agenda for improvement of Pfutsero town roads, MLA, Dr. Neisatuo Mero informed the house that schemes for improvement of town roads have been submitted to Government.

The board also approved the schemes under Local Area Development Program (LADP) 2025-2026 for Phek district which was put up by Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Phek.

Executive Engineer, Power, Er. A. Ritachu Thurr highlighted the current activities of the department during his PowerPoint presentations, while DFO, Phek, R. Esther Angami also presented the activities of the Fishery department during his departmental presentation.

Thsuingupe Kapfo, Pastor, Pfutsero Town Baptist Church invoked God’s blessings for the meeting.

 The monthly Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on  July 15 at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Kiphire, under the Vice Chairman of Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer NCS, in the presence of Advisor, Home Guard & Civil Defence, Fire & Emergency Services and Relief & Rehabilitation and Chairman SDPDB Pungro, S. Kiusumew Yimchunger.

Chairing the meeting, Temsuwati Longkumer welcomed the new members and members present in the meeting.

After reviewing of the previous meeting, Deputy Commissioner Kiphire reminded the members regarding the proper implementation of action against absentee members in the meeting. He also said that Planning Board is a very important platform which discusses and address the development activities of the district and urged the members for co – operation to make a cohesive team to discharge the given responsibilities to meet the aspiration of the people in the district.

Advisor, Kiusumew Yimchunger also in his short speech expressed his gratitude towards the government Officials for their dedicated works towards the public, various organisations and departments and urged the members to be more sincere and truthful in implementing various developmental works and be a active participation in various activities for more cooperation and development, as Kiphire being the inspirational district.

The following agendas discussed and recommended and forwarded for the approval of the government were the Proposal for organizing ” Longmatra Mango Festival 2025 “, Upgradation of SC – HWC to primary Health Centre PHC, Registration of Society in respect of ” Good Will Society “, Organizing of Miss Kiphire, Posting of Housing Development SDO, Pungro, Posting of AUDO (Asst.Urban Development Officer) Kiphire, Posting of District Transport Officer Kiphire, Khongsa Kiusam outpost (Police) and Approval of LADP Schemes 2025 – 2026.

Comprehensive PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Kiphire Police (DEF), and DFO (Fishery) Kiphire. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the Chairman.
