Fazl Ali College organised Freshers’ Day for the first Semester students of BA, B.Sc & B.Com on August 14 under the theme ‘Springboard: Towards a New Horizon.’

Considered as one of the important annual events of the College, Freshers Day welcomes and celebrates the addition of new members into the Fazlian family.

On the occasion, the Principal, Dr I Wati Imchen invited the students to embrace every opportunity that challenges them and walk beyond their comfort zone, making the most of what College life has to offer. Yimdangjungla Jamir gave a speech on behalf of the Freshers and Aosashi C Kichu, General Secretary, FACSU shared words of encouragement.

The glamour of the programme was introduced with twenty contestants vying for the title of Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2025. The competition showcased the poise, elegance, confidence and intelligence of the contestants.

Walunir K Tsudir, B.Sc (Chemistry) and Likhum Sangtam, BA(Sociology), won the title of Mr. and Miss Fresher respectively. The competition also acknowledged four sub-titles – Mr. & Miss Congeniality, Mr. & Miss Talented, Mr. & Miss Runway and Best Ethnic Wear.

The programme was enlightened by performances from the teachers and students, and graced by Rev. Lima Lemdur, Pastor, Union Church FAC with a special prayer for the freshers.
