In Mokokchung, the demand for clean and reliable drinking water has brought together two local initiatives — Root’s Drops, a fresh water brand owned by Imvo Imchen, and
Clear Delivery Service (CDS), a start-up by Benjongnukshi. While Root’s Drops sources and processes the packaged mineral water, CDS is launching a new venture to provide door-to-door delivery within Mokokchung town limits.
The Root’s Drops factory, located at Tzüpaksa in Yimchalu, Süngratsü, sources its water from the natural spring Tzü Tsü stream, specifically from Tzü Tsü Yongpang.
Proprietor Imchen informed that the factory began operations on September 4, 2022, with the motto “Natural, Pure and Fresh Drinking Water.” The water is drawn through pipelines from the natural running stream into tanks, then passed through multiple stages of filtration, including sand and carbon filters followed by UV treatment, before being packaged. Currently, the factory is managed by Imchen himself along with one employee. He said that utmost care is taken in handling the water and that prices remain the same across all seasons.
Root’s Drops holds a license from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

Meanwhile, CDS, which has been distributing packaged water for almost a year now, has so far delivered 20-litre drinking water gallons to about 85 to 90 shops, schools, churches, and institutions in Mokokchung. The response, according to the start-up, has been encouraging, and the service now plans to expand further to cover regular household delivery through its new venture.
To ensure smooth distribution, CDS operates a store at Tongdentsuyong ward in Mokokchung town and has engaged two individuals to assist in transporting the packaged water from Yimchalu, a few kilometres away, as well as in carrying out door-to-door deliveries. The water gallons are kept stocked at the store so that they are readily available for immediate needs, saving customers the effort of running to the factory and ensuring timely delivery. CDS delivers water to businesses, offices, and institutions regularly.
CDS has also developed its own website, which is 99% completed, where customers will soon be able to conveniently place their orders directly.
The start-up emphasized that its service will operate with a customer-first approach, focusing on trust, convenience, sustainability, and care. It assured that CDS will partner only with licensed and verified water suppliers and that the goal is to provide safe, tested water consistently.
