One person was killed while two others sustained critical injuries when a dumper truck carrying sand met with an accident at the 10th Mile junction, Tsiese Basa, on Thursday evening around 5:30 p.m.

According to sources, the truck, which was heading towards Wokha road, skidded off the road and plunged down a cliff along the 10th Mile stretch towards Dimapur. All three occupants of the vehicle were reported to be locals.

The Officer-in-Charge of Chiephobozou Police Station reached the spot along with traffic personnel for verification and necessary action.
