In the interest of public safety, maintenance of public property, and to ensure the proper use of the public ground Longleng for assigned activities, Additional Deputy Commissioner Longleng, Alongdhimen Jamir NCS has ordered that entry and movement of all vehicles (both two-wheelers and four-wheelers), including practice/learning of driving inside the ground, are strictly prohibited with immediate effect.

All vehicular entry and exit would be routed only through the designated, sideways, as identified by the local administration.

This order would apply to all individuals, departments, institutions and agencies, including private, commercial and government vehicles, unless prior written permission is obtained from the office.

Any violation of this order would invite penal action under the relevant provisions of the law, including imposition of fines, seizure of the vehicles and any other action deemed fit by the competent authority, the ADC stated adding the public ground is reserved primarily for sports, recreational, cultural and official government functions, and no unauthorised activities would be allowed.

The order would remain in force until further notice, and any relaxation, if required, would be notified.
