A one-day workshop on “Empowering the next Generation of Edge AI Innovators” and “Semiconductor Device characterisation & Test Validation” was held on September 24 at Nagaland University’s Kohima campus, jointly organised by Department of IT, CSE and ECE, School of Engineering & Technology.

The 1st session was conducted by Satish Mohanram – Sr Director and GM, SiMa.ai (India). He highlighted the participants on how to Build and Deploy Edge AI Applications with SiMa.ai’s DevKit and Palette Edgematic Software. Live Demonstration on Palette Software, Palette Edgematic, and Modalix in Action were done during the session. He also deliberated on the Future Opportunities in AI like Research projects for students and Collaboration opportunities for professors, Startup and industry innovation pathways.

The 2nd Session was conducted by Dr Boopesh Mahela, Application Expert from Tektronix. He briefed on the test and measuring instruments from Tektronix / Keithley and moved on to discuss Semiconductor Device characterisation & Test Validation.

He highlighted the process of bringing Fabrication to Lab where device level to wafer level testing solution is made accessible by very high precision testing instruments. A Live Demonstration and Hands-On session were conducted at the end of the session. The workshop was attended by scholars, faculty, and students of NU-SET.
