A District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) meeting on Civil Registration System was held on October 10 at the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner & Chief Registrar of Births & Deaths, Longleng, W Manpai Phom. The meeting was attended by all the concerned DLCC members.

Deputy Director & District Economics & Statistics Officer, Longleng, Nyushotho Nyuthe highlighted an overview of the Civil Registration System in the meeting. He also thanked all the stakeholders and department officials for their continuous support towards the department.

The key points discussed during the DLCC meeting were – Inclusion of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) & CDPO (Social Welfare) as the member of DLCC. The committee also deliberated to tie up more effectively with the Education & Medical department, and to disseminate the important information to the concerned Registrars at the village level. Submission of Death Reports along with the MCCD forms, and to take initiatives to create awareness on Registration of Births & Deaths and finally to issue notification in these regard.
