The 3rd edition of the Mokokchung district Inter-departmental sports meet kicked off on October 11, 2025. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Multi-purpose Sports Stadium in Imkongmeren Sports Complex, with Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS as the chief guest. This three-day event features a variety of sports disciplines.

In his address, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that such events provides a common platform for government employees from different departments to come together, fostering team spirit and interdepartmental coordination.

He highlighted the importance of balancing work and leisure time to maintain better physical and mental health. The Deputy Commissioner also praised the organizing committee for their efforts in organization the tournament.

The program featured a special performance by Jubilee Memorial College and the oath-taking ceremony, led by District Sports Officer Mokokchung, Zhopovi Zecho.

The ceremony also includes the handing over of the championship trophy to the organizing committee from the reigning champion, the Education department.
