1st ever hyper realistic pencil sketch workshop organized at Agape Hr Sec School

First ever hyper realistic pencil sketch workshop was organised at Agape Higher Secondary School, Kiphire today. The workshop is a joint initiative of Thsadiba Sangtamm a renowned pencil sketch artist from Kiphire Town and event Photography Club Kiphire.

The workshop was attended by 16 young enthusiast pencil artist both students from class 8 to college.

Some of whom are dropped out students. Sangtam gave practical hands on, and one on one guide to the artisans.

The workshop included basic and professional Sketch Techniques, Shading and blending, Grid methods, measurement and comparison and utilisation of locally available material in art.

Sangtam said sketching is not an art to learn in a day, yet if one has consistency, hard work and dedication, one can become a recognised professional and even make a career out of the art.

He also stressed on the right material and it’s utilisation to make the art more precise and professional.

He demonstrated how to DIY (Do it yourself) Blending stick by normal A4 size paper along with other helpful art material with daily available materials.

The joint initiative announced free registration for interested candidates with limited seats to provide a more quality workshop, where 16 registered for the workshop and attended the 1st of its kind meet in the district.

Students raised questions and doubts related to the professionalism of pencil art, while Sangtam guided them with their queries accordingly.
