The 17th edition of the M. Noke Wangnao Memorial Trophy concluded with an electrifying final match between Maverick FC and Eipa United FC on October 15.
The contest was fiercely fought, with both teams displaying remarkable skill and determination. The game ended in a draw at full time, pushing the match into extra time. After seven minutes of added play, the deadlock was finally broken in the 103rd minute, when Eipa United FC found the back of the net to secure a dramatic 1–0 victory over Maverick FC.
With this win, Eipa United FC lifted the championship trophy and took home a cash prize of ₹2,50,000, while Maverick FC finished as runners-up, receiving ₹1,20,000.

Themed ‘Play with passion, win with pride’, the tournament was organised by the Mon District Football Association in memory of the late veteran politician M. Noke Wangnao.
