The Tikhir Tribal Council (TTC) has condemned the attempt to harm the Village Council chairman and the kidnapping of the VDB Secretary of Thonoknyu village by unknown people armed with advanced weapons on October 30.

Expressing concern over the incident, the TTC strongly condemned this shocking incident. It said this violent act goes against the peace, security, and democratic values of their society and demanded that those responsible be punished quickly.

In a press release, P Timong Tikhir, President of TTC, and James Tikhir, General Secretary of TTC urged the police to act fast to catch the people involved and keep government workers and citizens safe.

The TTC appealed to everyone, including village leaders and community groups, to stand together against this violence and help the authorities restore peace.
