The Kohima Lotha Hoho on Thursday marked the opening session of its Golden Jubilee celebration, commemorating fifty remarkable years of its founding—years that reflect not only the passage of time but also the unity, commitment, and vision that have guided the organisation’s service to the community.

Held under the theme “Future Ready Reasoning,” the event highlighted the Hoho’s continued dedication to wisdom, clarity of purpose, and collective progress.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Y Mhombemo Humtsoe spoke on the cultural significance of Tokhü, elaborating on its deeper meaning and its role in strengthening identity, communal harmony, and cultural pride. He noted that the Golden Jubilee stands as a testament to the enduring values and steadfast efforts of the Kohima Lotha Hoho across generations.

The programme also featured the presentation of committee members, followed by a vibrant cultural segment showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of the Lotha community.

The main event of the Golden Jubilee celebration will take place on November 7 at the NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima, where Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
