The final match of the All Nagaland Volleyball Championship 2025, organised by LL Group (Dimapur) and managed by Nakzoer, was held at the Aliba Village Playground, Mokokchung on November 6. The two powerhouse teams of the State, the undefeated MH-10, Kohima, and the only team to consistently challenge them, Changtongya Volleyball Association (CVA), once again faced each other for the first edition of the championship title, having met in the finals of almost all the tournaments they have participated in.

Changtongya Volleyball Association finishing as the first runners-up received a cash prize of ₹80,000 with certificates. Town Club Mangkolemba secured third place with ₹60,000, while Blind Spikers, LL Group Dimapur claimed fourth place with ₹40,000.

In the individual awards, Imlichuba from MH-10, Kohima, was named Best Spiker, Limatenzük from Changtongya Volleyball Association received the Best Setter award, Reshitemjen from MH-10, Kohima, was declared Player of the Tournament, and Moasunep from Town Club, Mangkolemba, was recognized as the Emerging Player of the Tournament.

When asked about how the final game went and what went wrong after securing the first set in their favour, the manager of CVA said, “We started the final with strong energy and confidence, and taking the first set in our favour showed the kind of potential CVA has as a team. However, as the game progressed, our coordination and focus started to drop. A few unforced errors and loss of communication at crucial points shifted the momentum towards MH10. What really sets MH10 apart is their calmness under pressure and their ability to adapt quickly when things don’t go their way. They’ve built a rhythm and understanding among their players that gives them control even in tight situations.

For CVA, it’s not about lacking skill or spirit — our players are talented and determined. But at times, we struggle with maintaining consistency and composure once the pressure builds. That’s something we’re seriously working on now — improving communication, mental strength, and tactical discipline. We respect MH10 as a strong opponent, but every defeat also becomes a lesson. CVA is taking this as motivation to come back more focused, more united, and more determined in the upcoming tournaments.”

Imchen, in his address, spoke about the Managing Director of LL Group, Longden Longkumer.
