The District Planning & Development Board Meeting (DPDB) of Kiphire was held under the chairmanship of Temsuwati Longkumer, Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Kiphire on November 19 at DC’s Conference Hall, Kiphire.
The Deputy Commissioner extended a warm welcome to all the Board members present and reviewed the previous meeting minutes.
Briefing on the agenda, the board constituted a verification Committee for implementation of LADP 2025 – 2026. The DC reminded the Board members to submit the proposal three to four days ahead of the DPDB meeting. The DC also informed the Head of Offices to ensure that the land is free from any encumbrances while taking up the project in future. He also directed the concerned line departments to submit their respective Key Performance Reports (KPR) before December 15.
The board also decided that the next DPDB meeting cum Pre – Christmas picnic will be held on December 12.
A comprehensive PowerPoint presentation about their respective departmental activities was delivered by AUDO (Urban Development), Vivose Kepa, Incharge of Assistant Officer Urban Development Office Kiphire, and DCO (Art & Culture), Moses Newmai, Kiphire. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the Chair.

Tuensang District Planning & Development Board meeting cum Annual Picnic was held at Konya Village, Tuensang on November 19 under the Chairmanship of P. Bashang Mongba Chang, Minister for Housing & Mechanical (PWD) and Chairman DPDB Tuensang.
After reviewing the last meeting minutes the board discussed on the nomenclature change of St. Xavier School to Langba Academy and was approved by the board. The board also discussed on the maintenance of BRO Road in Tuensang Town. In this regard, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang highlighted about a joint meeting to be held with tribal bodies and the Department along NH 202 in the days to come.
Earlier in the morning, Minister Bashang Mongba inaugurated Sikai Water Body construction under PMKSY-HKKY by Water Resources Department. Er. Chingmak, WRD Tuensang highlighted the activities of the department, and stated that the water shed project has been taken up by the department and the first phase has been completed successfully.
He also urged the line Department like fisheries, Forest and Tourism to take initiative and come forward in making Sikai Water Body a Tourist Spot. The board welcome Purnusang Longkumer, District Transport Officer to its member.
