Naga students in Madhya Pradesh formally announced the formation of the Naga Student Union, Madhya Pradesh, during a gathering held in Indore that also featured an advance Christmas programme on December 1. The event brought together around 250 students from across the state.

The newly constituted union introduced its first office bearers:
Dr. Imlimenba Walling – President
Holunso Quinker – Vice President
Machun Dangmei – General Secretary
Atoholi Yepthomi – Assistant General Secretary
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. M. Chuba Ao, National Vice President, BJP, who attended as the Chief Guest.

In his address, Dr. Chuba spoke on the importance of culture and unity, stressing that understanding and preserving one’s cultural identity helps build character, strengthens pride, and keeps the community grounded. He also highlighted the need for mutual support within the community, noting that unity contributes to overall well-being and progress.

G. Akheto Sema, IPS, Special DG, MP Bhopal, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. He discussed the challenges faced by young people today and reminded the students to make wise and responsible choices. He encouraged them to remain confident and assured the gathering that the police force is accessible and committed to ensuring their safety and protection.
The event began with a Welcome Address delivered by Dr. Imlimenba Walling, who greeted the gathering and shared the purpose of the celebration. During the Christmas segment of the programme, Dr. Bokaho John delivered the Christmas message, stating that the meaning of Christmas lies in accepting Jesus Christ, who came into the world and died for humanity’s sins so that people may receive forgiveness and eternal life.
