Assam again delivered one of the most dominant performances of the Dr. T. Ao Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025–26, overwhelming Jammu & Kashmir with a resounding 11–0 victory in Match No. 16. From start to finish, the fixture was a showcase of Assam’s superior athleticism, tactical clarity, and ruthless finishing, informed a press release.

With 78 percent possession, 24 shots on target, and 16 corners, Assam controlled every inch of the pitch and gave their opponents no room to breathe. Jammu & Kashmir, on the other hand, struggled immensely to progress the ball, ending the match without a single attempt on goal.

Assam opened the scoring early when Lokhi slotted home in the 15th minute, setting the stage for a goal-laden half. The momentum quickly surged as Mary—the star of the match—found the back of the net in the 19th minute, beginning what would become an extraordinary fivegoal performance.

Assam’s midfield dictated play with precision, and relentless pressure led to defensive errors that Ribika capitalised on with a fine finish in the 28th minute. Moments later, Mary struck again in the 30th minute displaying excellent composure inside the box. The onslaught continued as Sayasree curled in a well-taken effort in the 34th minute, before Mary completed her first-half hat-trick with goals in the 40th minute and in stoppage time (45+4’), pushing Assam to a commanding lead at the break.

Even with the game firmly in their grasp, Assam refused to take their foot off the pedal. Banasree extended the lead in the 49th minute, finishing off a well-worked team move. Assam’s forwards found space at will, and Sayasree added her second of the day in the 72nd minute, with Ribika following shortly after with her own brace, securing goal in the 77th minute.

Mary returned to the spotlight once more in the 82nd minute, netting her fifth goal of the match—one of the standout individual performances of the tournament so far.
