Naga Chef Season 12 finale lights up Kisama: Lebinuo Medoze Sano walks away with a cash prize of Rs 3 lakhs

The 12th edition of the highly acclaimed culinary competition, Naga Chef wrapped up today at Kisama Heritage Village. Organised by Tourism Department in partnership with Synergy Group enterprise, the finale was held at the Legislative Park, bringing together food lovers, culture enthusiasts, and top culinary talents from across Nagaland.

Four finalists, Hamngam , Moalong Imchen, Sentipokla Jamir and Lebinuo Medoze Sano battled it out in the “My Naga Thali” challenge. Each contestant was given 75 minutes to prepare a complete traditional thali comprising, one main non-vegetarian dish, one main vegetarian dish, one side dish, one gravy, one chutney, a hot beverage and a dessert

Earlier in the day, the five contestants faced a “Mystery Basket Challenge”, drawing lots to select two key ingredients that had to feature in their creations. The stakes were high, one competitor was eliminated, narrowing the field to the Top 4 who advanced to the grand finale.

The Chief patron of the competition was Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio. Judges were Nuneseno Chase, Lori Khing, and Rovi Chase.

The victory not only brings home a cash prize but also cements Lebinuo’s name in the state’s culinary map. The event underscored Nagaland’s rich food traditions and the growing recognition of local talent on bigger platforms.

Winner: Lebinuo Medoze Sano – Prize money of ₹3,00,000;

Other finalists (each): ₹25,000
