Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung, organised FAC Mélange 2025, its annual cultural event, on December 11 and 12 on the theme “Canvas of Dreams.” Celebrated as a Christmas Edition, the programme aimed to promote creativity, cultural expression and intellectual engagement among students.
The two-day event featured a range of academic, literary, artistic and musical competitions. Events conducted across both days included Cosplay, Creative Writing, Extempore Speech, Solo Singing,
Painting, Musical Piece Competition, Dance, Battle of Bands, and a Guest Performance by Slayers of
Chordz. The programme concluded with prize distribution and a vote of thanks.
FAC Mélange 2025 began with an inaugural session held at the College Auditorium. The session was chaired by Sentiwala T Imchen, Assistant Professor. Addressing the theme, Dr I Wati Imchen, Principal of Fazl Ali College, spoke on the importance of nurturing dreams, creativity and collective responsibility.
The session also featured a special song, “We Are the World,” performed by the faculty members.
As part of the inaugural programme, a debate on the topic “Reservation Policy in Nagaland is a Tool for
Empowerment” was held. The debate was moderated by Temjenmerang, BA 6th Semester student and recipient of the Akok Walling Debater of the Year Award 2024.

In addition to the Mélange celebrations, the college observed the Advent Christmas Programme on the evening of December 12. A Cake Carol Competition was organised with participation from students of the 2nd, 4th and 6th semesters, in which the 2nd Semester students emerged as winners.
Dr Lanu Walling shared a message highlighting the significance of the Advent season, followed by a benediction through mass prayer.
The informal session included presentations by the Music Club, Principal, Chubamenla Chang, Jason
Puro, campus children, and the FAC Band.
