The 34th Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM) Sports Festival would be held on January 29 and 30 at the Langpangkong Tzükong Government High School Ground, Headquarter Chuchuyimlang.

The sports festival is being hosted by the Chuchuyimlang Village Council and the Chuchuyimlang Students’ Union. The 34th LKM Sports Festival Planning Committee is led by Imkongtemsu Jamir, Convenor, while the Local Planning Committee is headed by Rongsenlemla, Convenor.

Speaking on the historical significance of the tournament, Imlinok, President, LKM, along with Imtinuklu Jamir, Sports Secretary, LKM, stated that the Langpangkong tournament, widely recognized as one of the oldest sports tournaments in the region, traces its origin back to 1942. In recognition of its rich heritage, long-standing legacy, and historical importance, they informed that it has been officially decided that the tournament will henceforth be known as the Langpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang Sports Festival.

Meanwhile, Imkongtemsu Jamir, Convenor, stated that all necessary preparations are underway and appealed to all affiliated units, athletes, volunteers, and well-wishers to extend their full cooperation for the smooth and successful conduct of the festival.
