Police register case, name NSCN (K) Khango cadres in abduction and assault case; Ceasefire Cards cancelled

Following the reported abduction and assault of Kiyeto Zhimomi of Vikuho village by the cadres of NSCN (K) Khango, Nagaland Police carried out a preliminary enquiry and registered a criminal case at Diphupar Police Station Chumukedima vide DPR C/No,04/2026 U/S 140920 930/351/308(2)/131/127(2) /3(5)BNS R/w 7/88 NSR.

Official sources stated that NSCN (K) Khango cadres were found to be involved in the abduction and assault case who have been identified as H Kiba, Special Ceasefire Identity card holder (Card No-58); Lovito Yeptho, Special Ceasefire Identity card holder(Card No-63); Viniho Kiho, Special Ceasefire Identity card holder(Card No-100); Vika Chophy, Special Ceasefire Identity card holder(Card No-07); Issak Rochill; Hukhevi Yeptho; and Khuluto.

Besides these cadres, other cadres of the Group named in the media and widely circulated are also subject to investigations, the sources stated.

Police has impressed upon the CFSB NSCN (K) Khango to hand over these seven prime accused suspected to be taking shelter at the CFSB office, Thilixu to the police for further necessary action.

If the above cadres are outside the CFSB Office and evading arrest, police impressed upon the NSCN (K)Khango to immediately present themselves before the police for investigation.

Meanwhile, the Special Ceasefire Identity card mentioned at above (Card No. a, b, c & d) have been cancelled with immediate effect.

It may be mentioned that Kiyeto Zhimomi, Head GB of Vikuho village and a renowned businessman, was abducted on January 19, reportedly by cadres of the NSCN (K) Khango–Vusshe group and later released after being assaulted.
