Noklak celebrates 77th Republic Day

Along with the rest of the country, Noklak Headquarters celebrated the 77th Republic Day on January 26 with great patriotic fervour at the Public Ground, Noklak.

The celebration was graced by Advisor, School Education and SCERT, Government of Nagaland, Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Yhome unfurled the National Flag, took the Rashtriya Salute, and read out the Republic Day address.

Later in the day, Dr. Yhome inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by various departments, the Noklak District Handloom & Handicrafts Council, and Self Help Groups (SHGs).

Other highlights of the programme included a special song presentation by Supon H of Christian High School and a musical performance by Eden Boyz Band.

To mark the occasion, the District Administration, along with Heads of Departments and the Red Cross Society, Noklak Branch, visited District Hospital, Noklak, and interacted with patients.

In the evening session, a football exhibition match was played, followed by the Retreat Ceremony by the Frontier Piper Band, marking the conclusion of the Republic Day celebrations.
