Special Day for PwDs observed at Kidima village

The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission, Block Mission Management Unit RD Block Jakhama, in collaboration with the Office of State Commissioner for PwDs and Department of Health & Family Welfare, organized a special day for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Self-Help Groups (SHG) at Kidima village, Kohima on January 29.

The program was marked by distribution of a wheelchair to PwD SHG member under the “Art of Giving Project”, with a courtesy from the Assistant Superintendent of SCPD, Salie Koza.

The Program Coordinator SCPD, Ashe H. Kiba highlighted the importance of accessibility and inclusivity of PwDs, and also encouraged the PwDs to use their platform to create change in society.

Huvostolu Lohe ANM, Health & Wellness Centre, Kidima also shared the importance of addressing the health of the PwDs.

Following the distribution, a special health camp was organized, providing essential healthcare services to PwDs.

The event underscored the power of convergence and collective efforts in driving positive change. The Village Level Organisation (VLO) under Kidima also facilitated in mobilizing PWDs from the village for the special program.
