Tutheyo Village of Kiphire district brought pride to Nagaland by representing the state at the Republic Day 2026 celebrations in New Delhi under a special three-day programme of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, National Jal Jeevan Mission.

Recognized as a Swachh Sujal Gaon (Har Ghar Jal certified and ODF Plus Model), the village was selected to showcase the impact of safe drinking water in rural India. The Village Council Chairman and his wife attended as Special Guests, witnessing the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path and sharing Tutheyo’s Jal Jeevan Mission success before senior officials, including the Hon’ble Minister of Jal Shakti.

The participation marked a proud milestone for Kiphire district and stood as a quiet yet powerful story to grassroots transformation in rural Nagaland.
