The 35th edition of the Children Christmas Cake Carol Competition (C5) 2023 was held at Town Centre Point, Mokokchung, on the evening of Thursday.

Organized by the Mokokchung Town Baptist Church (MTBA) Youth Department, the event had the theme ‘Colors of Christmas’ and featured nine youth fellowships under MTBA and the United Christian Fellowship.

The A & D Youth Fellowship, with 105 children, emerged as the winners of the Christmas Carol Competition. Tongdentsüyong Youth Fellowship, with 89 children, secured the second place, and A & B Youth Fellowship, with 101 children, claimed the third position.

In the C5 competition, 10 youth department fellowships vied for the coveted annual title, attracting a total of 794 participants aged 5-13 from A&B, A&D, Aongza, Arkong, Kichutip, Medical, Salangtem, Penli, Tongdentsüyong, and United Christian Fellowship.

The event commenced with some Christmas Carol songs led by the Youth Worship team, followed by the opening prayer by Narosenla, Child Education Director, Mokokchung Town Baptist Church. Subsequently, the singing competition took place, culminating in the announcement of the results.
