The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) banned the slaughter of pigs, import and export of pigs and transport of pigs and piglets under Chozuba Sub- Division of Phek district of Nagaland with immediate effect.

According to notification issued by ADC, Zapuno Khatso, NCS vide NO.CZBA/ DEV- 8/ V & AH/ 2014- 15/ 71 dated Chozuba 27th May, 2026 restriction was enforced due to  the positive outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) in different parts of the district and the state.

The public were advised to be cautious of any suspicious behaviour or suspected death of pig/s and should be immediately reported to the Veterinary Officer, Chozuba.

The order shall remain effective until further order.
