Advisor Khamo inaugurates GPS New School Building at Phusachodu village

Advisor CAWD and Taxes Kudecho Khamo inaugurated the Government Primary School (Main) New School Building at Phusachodu village under Phek district on August 3.

In his speech, Khamo appreciated all those who have donated land, contributed and work towards ensuring the completion of the project while he acknowledging the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for allocating the funds for the construction of the new building.

The Advisor emphasised on the need to have an upright society to bring about social change which is priceless irrespective of all materialistic advancement. Towards this, he expounded on the need for change within an individual which would ultimately results change in the society at large. The need to invest on children with good life values and not just academic excellence was also highlighted.

To build an upright society and progressive society, Khamo emphasized on the need for parents to train the children starting from home and the church which also plays a crucial role.

He also encouraged the teachers to have vision and instill valuable lessons on the students and be a blessing and model for the students. The need to create a conducive environment for learning and fun in learning was also highlighted, where Khamo implored the need to identify the talents and interests of the children and trained them according to their passion and capabilities.

Further, the Advisor insisted on the need to inculcate the culture of honesty, hardwork, Christian values by starting the learning process from an early stage. Phusachodu Village Council Chairman (VCC), Vehüpa Rose, expressed delight about the new facility and acknowledged the MLA and Advisor for taking initiative about the development of the school.

Ehuveyi Rūho, Teacher-in-Charge GPS (Main) said the school was the first school in the village and was established in 1936 and the other schools were upgraded from the school. He also acknowledged the contributions made by the community towards the school, ever since.

Special performances were presented by the students of GPS (Main) and the Phusachodu Youth Society (PYS) officials.

The programme was led by Shenieta Cürhah, invocation prayer by Rev. Vevotso Theluo, Pastor, Phusachodu Baptist Church (PBC) and benediction prayer offered by Mülūkhoyi Mürao Assoc. Pastor, PBC.
