Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo launched the Small Enterprise Development Program (SEDP) for 18th Chozuba AC, his constituency, on Monday at the EDA office, Regal Demo Complex, Phoolbari, Kohima.
Speaking during the programme, Khamo said entrepreneurship is still a new concept as most Naga entrepreneurs are first generation entrepreneurs. He stated that entrepreneurship is the way forward for a progressive society and described it as an engine that propels all economic activities in the country. The Advisor also said that it is the gateway for employment, development, successful living and for nation building.
Highlighting the dearth in government jobs, Khamo pointed out that there are “unlimited” ways for people who want to take up entrepreneurship. Maintaining that ‘Thinking is Capital’, he stated that enterprise is the way and hard work is the solution to it. He also pointed out that entrepreneurs are responsible for creating employment downstream and become an asset for the society.
The Advisor observed that money is not required to become rich if a person knows how to convert the ideas, hands and legs into money. Additionally, Khamo also challenged the participants to be determined and develop self-confidence in their pursuits and take up entrepreneurship as a profession to progress at par with the rest of the world.

Manish Jain, Chartered Accountant, FRN, Guwahati, Assam was the resource person on the occasion. During his presentation, Jain pointed out the various kinds of enterprises while motivating them to dream big. He also said that since government jobs are getting saturated, it is the time for entrepreneurs to grab the opportunity. Jain further told the participants to believe in themselves and be dedicated to their thoughts and ideas and be discipline.
Earlier during the programme, short speeches were delivered by Vesupra Luruo, Advisor, 18th Chozuba AC, Yota Khesoh, Vice-president NDPP Phek Region and they also appreciated the initiatives taken by the MLA and Advisor Khamo to empower the people from the constituency.
The launching program was led by Thepukrayi Nienu, General Secretary NDPP, 18th Chozuba AC and vote of thanks was proposed by Vepozoyi Theyo, Vice-president NDPP 18th Chozuba AC.
A special song was presented by Entrepreneurs Development Agency (EDA) Boy’s, invocation prayer was said by Mudonuyi Veswu, Chaplain, NDPP 18th Chozuba AC and benediction was said by Vetacho Nienu, Deacon, CCRC PWD Kohima.
