Advisor IT & Communication, Economic & Statistics and Evaluation, H. Sethrongkyu Sangtam graced the Mungmung festival celebrations on 3rd September 2024 at Town Hall, Tuensang as the Special Guest.
Speaking at the festival, he thanked the Sangtam Union Tuensang Town for organising the festival that showcases the unity among the Sangtam people of Tuensang. He stated that this festival is a time for forgiveness, thanksgiving and strengthening friendship ties with one another. He exhorted the gathering that Sangtam Tribe should be the one in promoting peace and harmony with rest of the Nagas. He also added that Tuensang being one of the oldest and windows of the Eastern Nagaland, touching boundaries with all the Eastern District, and Sangtam Tribe have to be more vigilant and set good examples for the rest of the Nagas.

The program also included the submission of the Nominating Report by the Convenor of the Nominating Committee, outlining key decisions and future plans for the community. Additionally, a commendation ceremony was held to honor the successful candidates from the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC), recognizing their achievements and inspiring others in the community to strive for excellence.
The Guest of Honour for the event, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, NCS Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, also addressed the gathering, congratulating the Sangtam community for their unity and cultural preservation.
The event concluded with a sense of renewed commitment to the values of unity, forgiveness, and community spirit, as attendees left with a deeper appreciation of their shared heritage and the importance of coming together as one.
Other highlights of the function were invocation by Dr. Imsujungba, Pastor SBL Tuensang, welcome address by H. Bendang Sangtam, folksong from Sangtam Sangli Cultural Club, Commendation Award to the successful NPSC Candidates, short speech from Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa DC Tuensang and vote of thanks was delivered by Atingse Sangtam.
