The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has expressed dismay over the recent incident that took place on November 25 at Nagaland University, Lumami Campus and condemned the misconduct of Professor Sarat Chandra Yenisetti, Department of Zoology, Nagaland University upon a female Assistant Professor and University Students.

“The AKM is deeply saddened and condemns this gruesome and barbarous act in the strongest possible terms. This act by the professor has not only brought upon shame to the sanctity of the reputed institution but also shows his work-place unprofessionalism. We extend our deepest sympathy to the affected individuals and urge the law enforcing agencies to ensure a thorough and unbiased investigation and give befitting punishment to the culprit,” stated the AKM.

Affirming its unwavering solidarity with the victims, NUSU-L and the demands of the Lotha Students’ Union, the AKM extended its fullest support to ensure that justice be delivered at the earliest.
