The Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) has written to the Principal Director of School Education expressing concern and objection against the recent transfer/attachment of a GT (SS) teacher from Government High School (GHS) Seyochung Village to GHS Singrep as per the order issued by the Nagaland Education Mission Society, Samagra Shiksha.
With the GHS Seyochung Village facing an acute shortage of teachers for many years, the Union stated that despite repeated appeals and representations to the concerned authorities to post adequate teaching staff, the demands remain unfulfilled.

“This recent transfer has further diminished the strength of the teaching faculty, affecting the quality of education and jeopardizing the academic future of the students. This action comes as a serious blow to the school and the community that has been striving to ensure better educational facilities in the region,” it stated.
In this regard, the Union has urged the department to reconsider the transfer/attachment of the GT teacher and take necessary steps to ensure that GHS Seyochung Village is equipped with sufficient teaching staff at the earliest.
