The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has acknowledged the State Government, under the initiative of the Chief Secretary, for responding to the Union’s ultimatum within the stipulated period. At the same time, the Union has strongly reminded the Government to execute the full implementation of the Scholarship Nodal Cell (SNC) under the Directorate of Higher Education without delay.

It may be recalled that the ANCSU, through its ultimatum dated August 15, 2025, had demanded the setting up of a separate Scholarship Nodal Cell within 27 days, based on the Cabinet’s decision and approval made on June 12, 2019.

While expressing appreciation for the Government’s initial steps, the Union cautioned that it would continue to remain vigilant on the issue. It further warned the Government and the concerned implementing departments not to introduce new excuses in deputing permanent officials to the SNC.

“Henceforth, should there be further delay-tactics in the process of full implementation of the SNC, the Union shall resort to any befitting democratic protest,” ANCSU declared in a press release jointly issued by its president, Tenyesinlo Bukh, and general secretary, Kivinoka A. Sema.
