ANPSA Longleng unit conducts quartet competition

The All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Longleng Unit, in collaboration with the District Education Office, Longleng organized a quartet competition of NBSE Golden Jubilee on July 12, informed a DIPR report.

The competition was for all Private and Government Schools of Longleng District and was held at Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA) Convention Hall.

In a short message, Kihovi Sema, Assistant District Education Officer (ADEO) delivered through Phoptan, LDA, District Education Office (DEO), stated that this was an opportunity for students of both government and private schools to get together and showcase their talents. He said that education is not only all about reading books, passing exams and becoming a government servant. He added that education is an all-round development of a child. He encouraged the students to perform well not only in their studies, but also in other curricular activities as such.

In the competition of six (6) schools and two (2) higher secondary schools participated where the first prize was awarded to Phom Lempong Higher Secondary School, Longleng, the second prize to Christian School, Tamlu and the Third Prize to Bautung Government Higher Secondary School, Longleng. It is to be noted that the first prize winner will be representing Longleng District in the State Level Quartet competition to be conducted by NBSE. The judges for the event were Chingmei Shukshuhu Phom, Chongmei Phom and Denlei Angh.

The program was attended by class-10 and class-12 students and teachers of each school and the program was chaired by Angkhum Phom, Chaplain, Phom Lempong Higher Secondary School (PLHSS). The program concluded with vote of thanks by Shingmei Phom, Finance Secretary, ANPSA Longleng Unit and benediction by P. Apei Phom, Headmistress, Shamakok Mission School.
