ANTA Wokha and Mokokchung Units jointly celebrate ANTA Raising Day and Annual Picnic

Doyang: Purpose of joint event to bring units closer through social interaction and various activities: Renbemo Kikon

The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Wokha Unit and the Mokokchung Unit jointly celebrated the ANTA Raising Day and Annual Picnic 2024 on 18th November 2024 at the Doyang Bridge, NH-2, near Tsungiki Bazaar.

During the event, Tongpang Pongen, President of ANTA Mokokchung, conveyed warm greetings to the Wokha Unit. Highlighting the importance of unity among members, Pongen stated, “We are here to celebrate this day together as a symbol of friendship and cooperation between the Wokha and Mokokchung Units. Our goal is to promote better relations and work towards the betterment of our association. I hope this gathering serve as a stepping stone for further strengthening our ties in the future.”

T. Renbemo Kikon, President of the Wokha Unit, also extended a heartfelt welcome to the Mokokchung Unit, thanking Tongpang Pongen for their active participation in the event. He emphasised the significance of the joint celebration, stating that the purpose was to bring the two units closer through social interaction and various activities.

C. Renbi Ngullie, President of the All Commercial Vehicles Association (ACVA), expressed gratitude for being invited to the celebration. He shared that the Association was formed in 2014 with the six unions – Auto Union, Taxi Union, Pickup Union, Mini Truck Union, Bus Union, and Truck Union – coming together to address the issue of illegal taxation.

“We came together as one under the banner of the ‘One Government, One Tax’ initiative, which has continued to this day with the grace and support of God”, Ngullie stated. He hoped and expressed that the gathering of the two units of the ANTA will not only be a time of enjoyment but also an opportunity to bring positive outcomes for both the Lotha and Ao communities.
