The Ao Senden has issued a 30-day ultimatum to the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, seeking immediate action on issues concerning the Indira Gandhi Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), Mokokchung.

In the ultimatum submitted to the Principal Director, Health & Family Welfare, through the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, the organisation demanded the replacement posting of a radiologist and dermatologist, shifting of hospital services to the newly constructed Block A of IMDH, and cancellation of all attachments of doctors and nurses from the hospital, with their return to IMDH.

The Ao Senden stated that the department has been given 30 days to take necessary action on the three demands.

It warned that failure to address the issues within the stipulated period would leave the organisation with no option but to pursue its “own course of action” and raise the matter at every level of governance to seek what it described as justice.
