A solemn and moving Wreath Laying ceremony was organised by Jalukie Battalion Assam Rifles on Friday to pay homage to Nk (Late) Lengkholal at Phanjang Village, Peren District, Nagaland who laid down his life in line of duty for the motherland.

Nk Lengkholal and Sep Aldrin Hmingthanzuala lost their lives in line of duty for the nation on 29 March 2023 at Barrackpore, Kolkata, West Bengal, while carrying out Assualt River crossing exercise.
The ceremony was attended by the villagers and fellow soldiers who gathered to honour the fallen hero, the Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles stated.
