A health check-up cum medical camp was organised by the Assam Rifles Mon Battalion at Tizit village under Mon District on 30 August 2022.

The medical camp was organised with an aim at providing necessary medical assistance to the villagers of remote areas. Deliberate health checks were done to identify the symptoms of monsoon related diseases, heart ailments, tuberculosis, lifestyle diseases and life-threatening diseases/problems. Check-ups were also carried out to identify old-age related problems in senior citizens including arthritis, ENT problems and digestion related issues, and also to identify the symptoms and well beings of children related to nutritional supplements and issues.

During the conduct of the medical camp, awareness regarding vector borne diseases and their preventive measures was also provided.

Approximately 234 villagers including females and children were screened, and free medicines were provided along with the remedial measures.
