The District Administration, Atoizu, conducted an inspection-cum-coordination meeting with various government offices and institutions in Atoizu on August 21, 2026, to assess their functioning, identify gaps and address issues affecting public service delivery.
The exercise was carried out in collaboration with the Atoizu Town Council, Gaon Buras, Sumi Totomi Loka Atoizu, Sumi Totomi Loka Asukhuto, Students’ Union Atoizu Town and Students’ Union Asukhuto Town.
As part of the inspection, the team visited a number of government establishments, including Khelhoshe Polytechnic, Atoizu; the offices of the Executive Engineer and Sub-Divisional Officer, PWD (R&B); Sub-Divisional Education Office; Police Station; Primary Health Centre; Sub-District Industries Centre; Government High School; Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department; Power Department; Public Health Engineering Department (PHED); Forest Department; and the Horticulture Farm.

The inspection was followed by a coordination and consultative meeting involving representatives of the concerned departments and other stakeholders. The meeting provided a platform to review the functioning and requirements of government offices and institutions, besides discussing issues affecting service delivery at the local level.
During the meeting, stakeholders raised various grievances and placed proposals before the District Administration. The requirements and concerns of different departments and institutions were also appraised for consideration and necessary follow-up action.
The inspection, however, also brought to light concerns over the functioning of some government offices. The offices of the Public Health Engineering Department and the Forest Department were found closed during the inspection, despite prior intimation regarding the visit.
The exercise underscored the need for government offices to remain functional and accessible to the public, while ensuring greater coordination and accountability among departments for effective delivery of government services in Atoizu.
