Atongjungla Walling, contestant number 1 from Khar Village, was crowned Miss Mokokchung 2026 at the grand finale held at Town Hall, Mokokchung, on August 14. Chubaienla Pongen, contestant number 3, was named the 1st Runner-up, while Reshma Sahani, contestant number 9, secured the 2nd Runner-up position.
Organised by Forerunners Mokokchung and co-powered by the Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN), the pageant was held for the second consecutive year under the theme “Bloom Beyond Boundaries.” The grand finale featured 11 contestants and comprised three rounds-Traditional Attire and Introduction, Cocktail/Dance Routine, and Evening Gown.
Dr. Nochetla Tzudir, District Agriculture Officer, Mokokchung, was the Chief Guest, while Sashila Ozukum, Founder and Proprietor of Hope Academy, was the Guest of Honour.
The evening opened with a live performance by homegrown SARIWAR Band, followed by performances by Ningdangri & Friends, Abdon Mech, Shau Evans, Elizabeth Khing, Tiakumla, Maongkar and Toshiwapang Imsong. Special artistes were also presented by the reigning queen.
Abdon Mech, who has represented India at an international songwriting camp in Budapest and opened for Grammy-winning artiste John Mayer in Mumbai, performed in Mokokchung for the first time.
The grand finale was hosted by Arenla Lemtur, Proprietor of Soul House Academy, Mokokchung, where she also serves as Principal/Administrator.
The Cocktail Round featured choreography by Awe Tunyi, former beauty queen, pageant coach and choreographer, and founder and director of Talent Foresight, a grooming institute based in Kohima. Manen Jamir of Manen Design was the local designer for the Cocktail Round.
The Evening Gown segment featured designs by Shillong-based fashion designer HM. Hmingmawii.
Mele Pucho, President of the Northeast Beauty Pageant Organization, President of BASN–Miss Nagaland Organization and Nagaland Representative for RSL Exams, UK, served as the Chief Judge. The judging panel also comprised Roselinda Longchar, Commercial Taxes Officer with the Department of Taxation, Government of Nagaland, and Zonal GST Enforcement Officer; Shakshi Biswakarma, Miss Assam 2024 and Miss Northeast 2026; and Jentiren Jamir, Femina Miss India Nagaland 2024 and member of Forerunners Mokokchung.
Following the Evening Gown round, the contestants were shortlisted from the Top 11 to the Top 7 and subsequently to the Top 4.

The Top 7 contestants were Aying Y Konyak (2), Chubaienla Pongen (3), Atongjungla Walling (1), Limasenla Imsong (6), Reshma Sahani (9), Yangersenla (11), and Imkongtula (4). The Top 4 comprised Chubaienla Pongen, Atongjungla Walling, Limasenla Imsong, and Reshma Sahani.
The special titles were also presented during the finale. Limasungla Imsong received the Queen of Hearts – People’s Choice Award; Lily Rai won Miss Beautiful Smile and Miss Beautiful Skin; Likhum S Sangtam was named Miss Congeniality; Yangersenla won Miss Perfect 10; Aying Y Konyak received Miss Runway; Atongjungla Walling was named Miss Photogenic; and Reshma Sahani won Miss Talented.
The Talent Round, which determined the Miss Talented title, was held on August 3 at Urban Hub Cafe. The Queen of Hearts title was decided through public voting on social media.
The 11 contestants competing for the title were Atongjungla Walling, Aying Y Konyak, Chubaienla Pongen, Imkongtula, Likhum S Sangtam, Limasungla Imsong, Lily Rai, Naomi Z Tsanglao, Reshma Sahani, Sungjemtila and Yangersenla Pongen.
As part of the pageant, the winner of Miss Mokokchung 2026 gets direct entry into the Miss Nagaland competition, while both runners-up also have the opportunity to audition for the state-level pageant.
The event concluded with the crowning of Atongjungla Walling as Miss Mokokchung 2026.
