The Basketball Association Mokokchung District (BAMD) has announced selection trials for the selection of Mokokchung District Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams for the upcoming Nagaland Olympics 2026, scheduled to be held in Chümoukedima and Dimapur from November 2 to 14, 2026.

The selection trials would be conducted at the BAMD Basketball Court, Mokokchung, on September 24, 2026, from 3 p.m. onwards.

All eligible basketball players from Mokokchung district who aspire to represent the district at the Nagaland Olympics are invited to attend the selection trials.

The Association has informed that all players who represented Mokokchung District in the previous edition of the Nagaland Olympics are required to attend the selection trials. Similarly, players registered under BAMD are also required to appear for the trials as part of the selection process.

BAMD has further cautioned that players registered under BAMD must not seek to represent another district in the upcoming Nagaland Olympics without due authorisation from the Association. Any registered player found attempting to represent another district will not be permitted to do so and may face appropriate action from BAMD.

The Association has urged all concerned players to take the directive seriously and refrain from making arrangements to represent other districts. Players registered under BAMD are expected to uphold the Association’s registration and representation norms.

The final squad to represent Mokokchung District in the Nagaland Olympics 2026 would be selected based on the selection trials conducted by BAMD.
