Bethel Children’s Home in Tuensang celebrated Advent Christmas on Friday at Langa river, Tuensang District, with Throngji Yimkhiung, Administrator of the orphanage as the speaker.

Explaining to the children why Advent Christmas is celebrated, Yimkhiung said that it marks the beginning of spiritual preparation for upcoming Christmas day. He also said that churches, ministries and different organisations observe Advent Christmas every year as a sign of early celebration of the birthday Christ Jesus.

Earlier, the program was chaired by Asola while Anungla read from the Bible. The opening event was a presentation by ‘Daddy Cool’ which was then followed by an entertainment session.

The Administrator of Bethel Children’s Home informed that the main focus of conducting the Advent Christmas at the Langa river was to share the joy and happiness among the children and also to refresh their minds as their academic year ending examinations had gotten over.

The beaming smiles on the children’s faces during the outing made it worth organising the event, Yimkhiung added.
