Bhandari SDPDB meeting was held at the conference hall of the Summer House-Cum-Guest House on July 16, under the chairmanship of ADC & Vice Chairman SDPDB Bhandari, Longasen Lotha, who reviewed the meeting minutes and deliberated on the issues of electricity and power supply in the sub-division.

Later, the house discussed and approved the schemes under LADP 2026-2027 for 40 A/C Bhandari and recommended to the government for final approval.

Presenting a report on Livestock Insurance Scheme under Bhandari, VAS Quarantine Check Post, Merapani, Dr Kikali G Sumi informed the house that surveillance and monitoring activities for animal care and awareness programmes on Livestock Insurance Scheme were successfully conducted within Bhandari sub-division in the month of June 2026.

The program was conducted to encourage farmers to adopt Scientific Livestock Management for profitable livestock farming, and to practice Bio-security measures to limit economic losses associated with disease outbreaks, she added. She also highlighted the number of livestock which have been insured under the National Livestock Mission Scheme.

Er Elithung Ovung. SDO (R&B) PWD appraised the house that construction work at Nagaland Foothill Road has been completed officially except for some rectification work in some patches that included bridge work, approach slab, Toe wall, and River apron works which are in progress.

ADC, Longasen Lotha lauded the Census 2027 officials who have been engaged in carrying out the Census exercise diligently within Bhandari sub division and further urged them to ensure no eligible citizen is left out during enumeration.

He also urged the officers based under Bhandari sub-division to continuously support the Census exercise for successful and accurate enumeration of all eligible citizens.
