After travelling to Kohima, Dimapur and Mokokchung where book enthusiasts welcomed the book fair on wheels, the Bookswaala Book Fair is in Wokha Town at the Likya Community Hall. The book fair is open daily from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm until 24th August 2024.
The book fair presents a collection of over 100,000 books, providing an exceptional opportunity for book lovers. Books are priced at Rs. 400 per kilogram, with mangas and new releases available at a 50% discount.
The Bookswaala initiative, started by Delhi residents Apoorva Mayank and Rajesh Kumar Choudhary, aims to make books more accessible across the Northeast region. Their innovative pricing model allows customers to buy books by weight, catering especially to students.
Having already hosted successful fairs in various cities, BooksWaala plans to continue their journey with upcoming events in Shillong and Aizawl.
