C. Apok Jamir has been appointed as the Working President of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) with immediate effect.

This was notified in a press release issued by All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary (Organisation), K.C. Venugopal, on 1st November 2024.

It stated: “Hon’ble Congress President has approved the proposal for the appointment of Shri C. Apok Jamir as the Working President of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee, with immediate effect.”

Chubatoshi Apok Jamir is a former legislator and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from 1998 to 2004. He is the son of S.C. Jamir, former Nagaland chief minister and former governor of Goa, Maharashtra, Odisha and Gujarat.
