CANSSEA, NNPSGSEF attend NEC Meeting of All India State Government Employees Federation held in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: President of AISGEF appeals all States to mobilize employees for the Delhi march to be held on 3 November 2023

A team of five representatives of CANSSEA and NNPSGSEF attended the National Executive Committee Meeting at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on 13 and 14 May 2023. The meeting was hosted by Federation of State Employees & Teachers’ Organizations (FSETO) under the patronage of All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF).

It was informed that the team included officials of Confederation of AlI Nagaland State Service Employee’s Association (CANSSEA) – Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, vice president, Visetonuo, joint secretary and Toshinaro Ovung, joint secretary- and two members from Nagaland National Pension System Government Service Employees Forum (NNPSGSEF) – Imnasenla Pongener, general secretary and Adabe Namgi, treasurer.

The all India NEC meeting was presided by Subhash Lamba, president and A. Sreekumar, general secretary of AISGEF tabled the state-level reports and reviewed the activities taken up by various States. In the first session, A. Sreekumar highlighted the developments that have taken place and also listed the activities scheduled to be held this year and said, “on war footing all action plan and programmes should be chalked out by all affiliated States”.

Sreekumar impressed upon all the states to forge unity and appealed to all States to mobilize employees for the Delhi march to be held on 3 November 2023 where the agenda will be put forth for various issues of employee welfare to the Central Government.

Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao gave a report on the action taken by the CANSSEA for the Nagaland State employees as per the directives of AISGEF with regard to ‘scrapping NPS (New Pension Scheme) and restoring OPS (Old Pension Scheme).’ Further, he briefed the NEC about the awareness programmes being carried out in the districts by organising tours even at the block-level to mobilize and spread awareness about various rights that needs to be avail by all employees.

Visetonuo conveyed that CANSSEA fully supports the State associations issues on women rights in the country and reiterated that CANSSEA endorses the agenda taken up by AISGEF especially on the paramount issue of scrapping NPS, a share market linked pension scheme and subsequent restoration to Old Pension Scheme.
