The weeklong annual sports week of the Youth Department of Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers Hill, Kohima (CBCMHK) today successfully culminated at Police Reserve Ground, Lerie, Kohima.

According to a press release from Media & Publicity Committee of CBCMHK, the competition discipline included Football (Men), Volley ball (Men & Women), Basketball (Men & Women), Badminton (Men & Women), Table Tennis (Men & Women) and Tug of War (General), 100 Mtr race (Men & Wimen), 400X1 Mtr relay race (Men & Women). The final day of the competition, Men football witnessed a major win by the team Bethabara while the men’s Tug of war was won by the Team Bethel.

Gracing the closing ceremony of the annual sports week, Thujoneyi Veswu, CMHK Associate Pastor, congratulated all the youth partaking in the weeklong competition and enabling the successful culmination.

Veswu also distributed the prizes to the winners and offered a closing prayer.

Rakidu Nukhu, Youth Director, in his closing remarks extended gratitude to the church for providing all the logistic preparations from day 1 till the culmination ceremony. “We look forward to such support and cooperation even in the future,” added Nukhu.
