The Continuing Medical Education (CME)Hospital Dialogue held a oneday workshop seminar with the theme “Bridging the head and the hands”on February 9 at the conference hall,District Hospital Tuensang. Renowned experts from various fields came together to educate the people by offering holistic solutions that promised a path to wellness.
In the first session, Dr.Alemba, MD Medicine, spoke on the indications,procedure, contradiction and recents advances of Nasogastric feeding.He mentioned that the best way to confirm the tube is by doing a pH test and X-ray.

He shared that newer materials like silicon,polymer comes with the advantages of being more durable, comfortable for the patient with lesser chances of leakages and blocks.

The second session was conducted by Dr.Sangba, MS ENT on the topic “Foreign body removal,ENT’s perspective” where he extensively presented on the foreign bodies in ear,nose and throat. He also updated on the types of objects, presentations and removal of such bodies. In rare cases, the Medical practitioner said, one needs to be put under general anesthesia for removal due to the location of the body.
The moderators for the sessions were Dr.Tochi, MD pathology and Dr.Toshi, SMO.
