AICC Observer, Pranav Shagotra on Tuesday alleged discrepancies in electoral rolls across five districts under his charge, claiming that more than 38,000 voters had been identified as deleted or untraced.

He was addressing a press conference at Congress Bhavan Wokha, organized by Wokha District Congress Committee (WDCC), as part of the nationwide “Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao” campaign, attended by party leaders, officials and workers.

Referring to Wokha district, Shagotra stated that 6,547 voters out of a total 1,88,018 electors were found to be deleted or untraced. He said district party leaders and workers had been tasked with approaching the District Election Officer to seek rectification of the alleged errors, adding that supporting evidence had been provided to party workers for the exercise.

Shagotra was accompanied by S Supongmeren Jamir, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Nagaland, along with senior state and district Congress functionaries.
