Launching Programme for Construction of RCC Bridge along Dikhu River Longleng – Chuchuyimlang Mokokchung road was held on 8th November 2024, with MLAs Nuklutoshi and A. Pongshi Phom at the bridge point at Mongtikang village in Longleng.

MLA Nuklutoshi in his address encouraged the gathering not to talk about different communities or political parties rather to coordinate together and talk about developmental works which is more important. He also assured to complete the two hydro projects and cleared the council road during their tenure, and also tackle the unemployment issues in the region and create more job opportunities.

With the completion of the project the spot will be a tourist attraction and generate revenues, where local business will flourish with many other avenues will turn up, the MLA said.

MLA, A. Pongshi thanked his colleagues for making the event possible. He stated that the idea to implement the project was possible only with the cooperation of Nuklutoshi, who provided support, ideas and logistics. He also extended appreciation to the Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio for his trust and approving the project.

Pongshi pointed that without proper road connectivity and proper bridge, any developmental works are impossible. He further encouraged and appealed to tolerate with the inconveniences during the time of work and also to lend a helping hand in times of trouble until the work is completed.

Short speeches were also delivered by President Langpangkong Tsukong Mongtang, N. Watitoshi; President PPC, Y.B. Angam Phom; EE PWD (R&B) Longleng, S. Toshi Angh; Pukyung Phom, P/Leader; Chairman Village Council Chuchuyimlang; Chairman Village Council Hukphang; Chairman Village Council Salulamang and Chairman Village Council Mongtikang.

Earlier, welcome address was delivered by chairman village council Pongching and invocation was proposed by Pastor Namching Baptist Church and the programme was chaired by Pangshom Phom.
