A coordination meeting on Pre-Monsoon Preparedness under the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Meluri, was held on 22nd May 2026, at the DB’s Court, Deputy Commissioner’s office, Meluri.

The meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, DDMA Meluri, Phuleshe K. Yepthomi, NCS, to strengthen preparedness measures ahead of the monsoon season in the district. D.C Meluri, emphasized the importance of timely coordination among departments and urged all concerned agencies to remain alert and ensure necessary arrangements are in place for public safety and disaster response during the monsoon period

Officials from various government departments attended the meeting and discussed preparedness strategies, inter-departmental coordination, emergency response mechanisms, and preventive measures to minimize risks arising from heavy rainfall, landslides, flash floods, and other monsoon-related disasters.

The meeting also featured a PowerPoint presentation on pre-monsoon preparedness delivered by David Thupitor, Nodal officer DDMA, Meluri.
