The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO), Medziphema Circle has strongly condemned the alleged sexual abuse of a child that reportedly took place on July 7 at Ward-9, Medziphema Town.

In a statement issued through its Media Cell, the organisation described the incident as a “horrific” and “inhuman” act, stating that the alleged crime constitutes a grave violation of the rights, dignity and innocence of a child and has no place in a civilised society.

The CPO expressed solidarity with the child survivor and the victim’s family during this difficult time and prayed for the child’s healing, recovery and well-being.

It called upon law enforcement agencies and the concerned authorities to conduct a prompt, impartial and thorough investigation and ensure that the accused is brought to justice in accordance with the law without unnecessary delay.

The organisation also urged the authorities to provide the child survivor with appropriate medical care, psychological counselling and protection throughout the legal process.
